The eighth annual edition of the Italian Cuisine World Summit will take place from 7 – 17 November in Dubai.
Bringing together Italian restaurants, food and grape producers, Michelin-starred chefs and culinary experts, the event is aimed at celebrating and promoting Italian cuisine, its ingredients and manufacturers.
The aim of the summit is to bring the best Italian contemporary Michelin-starred chefs together in Dubai’s Italian restaurants to celebrate those establishments showcasing authenticity and quality.
Last year’s summit involved 60 of Dubai’s Italian restaurants and hotels, 40 Michelin-starred chefs, 80 partners, and attracted over 150,000 visitors.
The programme includes an opening gala dinner at the Food Specialty Festival, Dubai World Trade Centre; the United Nations by Italian Cuisine night, bringing together 180 chefs (30 Michelin-starred) at JW Marriott Marquis; and the Italian Street Food Festival, with approximately 20 food trucks
A range of masterclasses, live cooking demonstrations and competitions will take place as part of the programme.
This year’s summit is also a world preview of ‘The Extraordinary Italian Taste – the first Italian Cuisine Week’, a promotion under the patronage of the Italian Government, taking place from 21 – 27 November in the UAE.
The Italian Cuisine World Summit is part of www.itchefs-gvci.com, a network with over 2500 chefs, restaurateurs and culinary professionals working in 70 countries.
The event is held under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in the UAE and the Italian Consulate General of Dubai and is managed by Exquisite Communications and Italian Restaurant Consulting (IRC).
Collaborating with the summit this year are Dubai World Trade Centre, the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA), Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and IICUAE (Italian Industry and Commerce office in the UAE).
Partners include Grana Padano PDO cheese, Electrolux, Lavazza, Monviso Mineral water, Gianni & Gelato, Petra-Molino Quaglia flours, Inalca F&B, Italia Kitchen, Alitalia-Etihad, and African and Eastern.
