Californian burger brand, Habit Burger Grill, has opened its first international venues in the UAE, with outlets in Dubai and Sharjah.
Owned and operated by franchise partner Food Quest Restaurants Management LLC, the Dubai restaurant launched in November at Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai, followed by a second opening at Sharjah’s Matajer Al Juraina in December.
The two restaurants are the first in a planned roll-out of 50 locations in the GCC.
At the opening ceremony of the Sharjah outlet, Russ Bendel, CEO, The Habit commented: “We are proud to open our second Habit Burger Grill. We look forward to partnering with Food Quest to open many more locations as we continue to become everyone’s favorite Habit one burger at a time.”
Food Quest CEO, Roger Eric Stracener added: “This is the second International Habit to open in the last 30 days and we are really pleased with the initial consumer feedback. We are committed to growing this popular brand out of California, and look forward to making The Habit Burger Grill a ‘habit’ for the communities across the GCC.”
The menu includes burgers, salads, grilled sandwiches, French fries and tempura green beans, and signature dish, the Charburger. The same Charburger recipe has been used since the first The Habit opened 47 years ago.
The first Habit Burger Grill opened in Santa Barbara, California in 1969 and the portfolio has since grown to more than 170 restaurants in 16 domestic markets throughout California, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Utah, Virginia and Washington.
The Habit’s only international outlets are located in the UAE.
