Anticipation for the GM Leaders Conference presented by Rikan is hotting up and Electrolux is the latest sponsor to come on board for the event, set to take place at the W Dubai Al Habtoor City on 3 May.
Hotel News Middle East caught up with Electrolux professional director Middle East Marco Pesce (pictured right) who explained why his company has chosen to support the event.
Why have you chosen to support BNC Publishing’s GM Leaders forum? Electrolux is a well known and established brand in the Middle East, and we always want to be closer to our end users, not only to promote ourselves, but to listen and understand. The market is changing fast so we are interested in finding out about new trends.
What is your opinion of the Middle East’s hospitality landscape? Despite the large number of hotels already present, we can see there are still a lot of new projects coming in across all segments and in different regions. At the same time, a lot of older hotels are carrying out renovations. For those reasons, the Middle East will continue to be a really important market, also because the F&B aspect is quite consistent in the hotel revenues.
What new products are you launching this year?
It is quite a busy year in term of new products. We recently launched the Lagoon Advance Care, which is the unique Electrolux wet cleaning offer. We are very happy about it as we have had a good response from the market and this is why we will speak about it at the conference. We are now launching the Speedlight, a high-speed snack grill, which is another unique product from Electrolux, in addition to a new rack type dishwasher, which is closer to the Middle East specifications. We will soon launch our new range of counter refrigeration, for which I am very excited because it is really a best-in-class product in term of performance and low running costs.
What are your company’s plans for the next 12 months?
To be closer to the end user, we just opened a warehouse in Jebel Ali for finished products. Soon we will also have spare parts and consumables. Our delivery will be fast and service will improve. We are going to have our own chef based locally so we can help the end user to become more familiar with our technology and enhance its potential. We want to do more seminars to educate the market about wet cleaning and the benefits Electrolux Lagoon Advance Care can bring to the market.
