Circo, the award-winning circus-inspired Italian restaurant born from the famous Circo in New York, has announced a revitalised menu for the upcoming autumn season.
Located within the InterContinental Abu Dhabi, Circo was the first venue from New York based Maccioni Restaurant Group in the Middle East, an impressive pedigree that has seen the concept lead the regional restaurant scene since its opening in 2014, offering authentic cuisine with a casually theatrical twist.
The additions to the menu, conceived by chef Andrea Pastore, re-focuses on an accessible selection of Italian dishes.
New amongst the appetizer offering is the warming mixed seafood soup, with crustacean sauce. The pasta selection has been enhanced with the addition of squid ink and baby calamari risotto, crispy octopus, and roasted datterini tomatoes, whilst guests can delight in two new meat and fish dishes. Those seeking a more relaxed meal can order the new bufalina pizza, topped with tomato, mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella cheese, and basil sauce. Finally, gourmands of all ages will delight in the torta caprese, a moist chocolate, almond cake, vanilla ice cream and raspberry gel.
Neil Houghton, general manager of InterContinental Abu Dhabi, said: “Circo is a much loved and acclaimed institution in our extensive dining portfolio and we are proud of its ongoing success for diners of all ages. This refreshed menu offering has been created to meet the needs of new and existing fans, and reflects a traditional Tuscan culinary journey, matched with the elevated experiences and welcoming attitude for which Circo is so well known. We are excited to be presenting this new selection of dishes,” Houghton added.
