Chef Middle East held their annual Taste of Autumn event in Dubai in October which was also hosted at each of its four branches in the region over the two weeks.
The event saw the distributor further strengthen its reputation as a one-stop destination for the foodservice industry and Joanie Dall’anese, marketing manager, Chef Middle East, gives us all the details from the event.
What was the main aim behind the Taste of Autumn event?
One of the main ambitions of the event was to provide the regional industry with a unique platform to celebrate major food brands through a culinary journey, highlighting some of the best local talents and establishing Chef Middle East as the a one-stop solution for all food and beverage requirements in the Middle East.
How many exhibitors showcased their products?
During the event, we featured over 30 of our most well-known brands such as Valrhona, Les Vergers Boiron, Certified Angus Beef, Dolomia Water, Jan Van As, Président, Sosa, Borde, Bridor, and Belberry to name a few. All the products were combined at different live cooking stations to highlight their compatibility and were presented to visitors as kitchen and menu solutions.
How many people attended the event?
Chef Middle East witnessed an impressive turn-out across its four regional branches with over 1,300 total industry players from foodservice operations coming through their doors during the events from the 9-17 October 2018. All visitors to the event enjoyed discovering the finest ingredients across a variety of live interactive food stations with real kitchen solutions, from breakfast menu inspiration, unique beverage pairing ideas, and ice-cream craft lab to seafood and beef grilling along with authentic Italian live pizza, risotto, and bread making.
Chef Middle East could also count on the support of some of the most talented pastry chefs in town presenting unique dessert creations including the renowned Paul Hayward, resort executive pastry chef at Madinat Jumeirah, Ludovic Audaux, complex executive pastry chef at Grosvenor House and Le Royal Meridien, and Hassan Salam, executive pastry chef and chocolatier at Dawaaq.
