The Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi) Switzerland Dubai has recently launched ‘Sufara’a Al Dhyafa’, a diploma in hospitality operations management for Emiratis, offered at their Dubai campus and across all Emirates.
The programme was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and actively aids the Government objectives of Emiratisation in the private sector.
Sufara’a Al Dhyafa is a three-month intensive diploma, which was designed to propel local talent and help them build a career in the world of hospitality. It consists of nine modules that span various sectors of hospitality management.
“Our training focuses on the future of hospitality in the region, teaching specific guest-experience techniques required for the evolution of the industry. In the last two years, the UAE has witnessed the opening of numerous theme parks and tourist attractions, along with continuing to build projects to deliver an additional 40,000 hotel rooms in anticipation of Expo 2020,” says Judit Toth, business director at HTMi Switzerland Dubai.
“This rapid development requires numerous new roles to be created to ensure that these projects succeed, highlighting the need for a highly-trained hospitality workforce.”
