Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait, in collaboration with Marafie Foundation and Marafie Group, have rolled out a new initiative to support their community.
With the distribution of more than 15000 meals, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait has made it their mission to help people in need, and those affected by COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait.
This new initiative is part of the campaign launched by the International Islamic Charitable Organization under the slogan “Faza’a for Kuwait”, which means supporting Kuwait, and aims to back up the government and institutions in tackling the virus and its impact.
This year’s Iftar meals will be directly delivered to those in need, rather than being served at Ramadan tents or at mosques. The team of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait have dedicated their extra time to prepare more than 500 meals daily, which are then distributed across Kuwait. In addition to the hotel team and Marafie Foundation, voluntary groups such as Khair Al Kuwait Volunteer Team and Volunteer Care Team, also contribute and help in delivering these meals to their beneficiaries in various places in Kuwait.
The change in delivery approach was made necessary to avoid crowding in areas, which is banned as part of measures to stop the spread of coronavirus.
