La Serre Bistro may have just launched one of the classiest, most elegant ladies’ nights in town which, if you’ve lived in Dubai long enough, you would know is something rather remarkable amid the hundreds of overcrowded, pink-themed clichés that have recently taken over.
Taking place every Wednesday from 7pm-11pm, La Serre Bistro’s chic new ladies’ night, Mademoiselle, brings the best of classic French cuisine, coupled with a luxe-for-dinner, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills-like ambience.
With fine sips and a side of live tunes by a female DJ, Mademoiselle is all about dressing up for a night with the ladies, bustling with some of the most popular Arabic and Western tracks: and we couldn’t stop dancing.
Priced at AED 199 per person, the offering includes a three-course menu paired with four glasses of house pour. We start off with the cured salmon with coriander aioli and pickled beets, which offers a beautifully presented serving of the fish that’s (almost) too pretty to eat, along with a burrata caprese.
For mains, we go for the catch of the day, exquisitely cooked sea bass with asparagus and lobster sauce – and yes it’s as good as it sounds. Other options on the menu include orzo risotto with tomato sauce and burrata, or a wholesome, traditional dish of chicken blanquette.
For dessert, we choose the apple and blueberry crumble, sauce, and cinnamon ice cream rather than the sorbet because – you know – cinnamon, and it’s a very well-balanced, not-overly-sweet dessert infused with hints of nostalgia.
Not to worry if you’re no ‘mademoiselle’, gents are also welcome to join for the evening, and can avail the same three-course menu for AED 199, excluding grape.
Put on some high heels and a little party dress as the ladies’ night at La Serre is the perfect occasion to let your hair down and have some well-deserved fun with the girls.
La Serre Bistro is located at Vida Downtown.
