With five homegrown concepts in their expanding portfolio, Gates Hospitality has welcomed two new appointments to their senior management team with the rehire of Richard Cowling, Director of Operations, who has returned to the group following his previous two-year tenure with the company where he held the role of General Manager at Reform Social & Grill.
Additionally, Andrew Donald joins the team, taking on the role of General Manager at the helm of Dubai gastropub, Reform Social & Grill.
“As we navigate our business and people through this ever-changing time, Richard’s return to the group has been welcomed by all. He is an expert in his field and will, undoubtedly, make a positive impact across the business,” says Naim Maadad, Chief Executive Office, Gates Hospitality.
Cowling says: “While I started off with the group as General Manager of Reform Social & Grill back in 2014, I now have the opportunity to work with the rest of the brands in the Gates Hospitality portfolio. We’re working towards a very exciting opening in Q2 of this year which will then take us up to seven operational sites across Dubai and at a time when it’s all a little unknown, I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
“Moving to the UAE at this particular time has been extremely rewarding. I’ve been working with the team for just over three weeks now and I can already see why it’s such a favourite in Dubai – we’re going to be spending the next few months planning ahead and when the time is right, we’ll be bringing back the events that Reform Social & Grill is known and loved for,” says Donald.
