Alison Grinnell, PwC Middle East Hotels Leader has been announced as the keynote speaker for Hotel News ME’s Procurement Conference on 19 October at Grosvenor House, Dubai.
Grinnell will be addressing an audience of over 100 procurement professionals including hospitality procurement and purchasing directors and managers at the half day event. Grinnell is the Middle East Hotels Leader for PwC, part of the hospitality leisure team. In addition Grinnell leads the data and analytics team across PwC Middle East.
Having been with PwC in the UK for 10 years, Grinnell moved to Dubai to head up the hospitality and leisure division and boasts three years in her current position.
Commenting on her role at PwC, she said: “Our data and analysis team provides numerous services assisting clients in effectively using one of their most valuable assets – data. Such projects include data governance, data mapping, process mining, predictive customer analytics, data enabled auditing and process utilisation.”
She added: “Bringing data into hospitality & leisure projects allows us to really understand customer behaviour and use historic data to predict future trends.”
In addition, Grinnell has also published a number of hospitality forecasts using econometric modeling to predict future occupancy and ADRs in hotels.
