Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa is celebrating the month of Ramadan with a night’s escape in one of the property’s private villas and an intimate iftar served out on the terrace.
Exclusively for Ramadan, villa guests can enjoy an iftar served out on their terrace, prepared and served just for them by their own private chef. Combining Arabic, Moroccan and Levantine flavours with fresh seafood and grilled meats, the divine spread includes a mix of Ramadan favourites and specialties designed to suit all tastes.
Starting off the dining experience are platters of hot, cold and healthy Arabic mezze, including colourful beetroot and mint labneh and quinoa tabuleh. These are joined by further light bites such as rubian makli and musakhan rolls, while the selection of fresh garden bowls, featuring barley and baby spinach, quinoa and berries, buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes and Thai beef salad, provide a tasty and nourishing introduction to the main courses.
Continuing with this intimate experience, guests can choose from a selection of grilled meats such as beef kebab, shish taouk, lamb kofta and lamb chops, plus expertly crafted dishes including Emirati lamb ouzi, Moroccan chicken tagine, salmon harra, vegetables salona and more. Accompanying these quality plates are a vast variety of sides, with everything from vegetables to sauces, and dips to potatoes.
Finally, those with a sweet tooth will be in their element when they feast their eyes on the dessert spread. The homemade kunafa is a recipe specially created for the occasion and guests are able to watch the chef skillfully prepare it on the charcoal grill. Meanwhile, the rose-infused umm ali and a exotic fruit platter round off proceedings.
However, the celebrations don’t end there. For some extra nourishment, a suhoor Ramadan menu will be provided at Al Mesayan restaurant from 8pm to 2am, featuring a mix of healthy, fresh plates on an à la carte basis. Those craving traditional Arabic flavours can opt for nibbles such as chicken liver, batata harra and grilled halloumi, plus mains like Lebanese grills and manakish.
Meanwhile, the aromatic spices of Morocco are brought to life through the chicken tagine, roasted lamb shoulder, seafood platter and other authentic delicacies. Plus, for anyone keen to look after their health during the holy month, there’s also a range of nutritious salad bowls.
Of course, self-care isn’t all about eating well and exercising. Particularly during Ramadan, it’s equally important to relax and look after your own mental wellbeing, and the resort’s Saray Spa has launched a number of special offers to help guests feel revitalised and fresh during this wholesome period.
Exclusively for the month of Ramadan, visitors to Saray Spa can redeem a complimentary 30-minute massage treatment with every 60-minute massage, hammam or facial. Or, for a more indulgent pampering session, an extra 30-minute massage or mini facial comes complimentary with every 90-minute massage. These Ramadan offers are available every day throughout the holy month from 1pm to 11pm.
