Brazil-based vegan startup, Future Farm, has launched its latest product: Future Chicken. Through the use of brand-new True Texture Technology, innovation has allowed creating real chicken pieces with apparent fibres. Future Chicken is now available cross the UAE in leading supermarket chains.
Developed with True Texture Technology, which enables recreating the same fibrous texture as animal chicken, the new product is available in small pieces that resemble chicken breast. Each portion of the Future Chicken contains the apparent fibers that guarantee the texture and softness sought both when eating and when cooking the protein.
When developing the new product, the company also used natural extracts to ensure a neutral flavor, providing versatility for the creations of those who cook. The preparation of the product follows the same logic as animal proteins; when on the grill, it acquires a golden color and when cooked, it can be shredded and seasoned to serve as filling for various recipes.
In its composition, non-GM pea and non-GM soy proteins are used. In nutritional terms, it carries 18g of protein per serving, 0% cholesterol and most impressive of all, 0% saturated trans-fat.
“Our goal is simple, ever since we founded Future Farm: to change the way the world consumes meat and continue to increase the technological level of our products, creating the plant-based category in the right way and with the right partners to make slaughterhouses, which no longer belong in this new world, increasingly obsolete, ” explains Marcos Leta, founder of Future Farm.
Following its purpose of minimally impacting the environment, Future Chicken is the first brand product to be marketed in a 100% sustainable and plant-based packaging, composed of sugar cane, releasing less CO2 into the planet. It received the I’m green label, which identifies products that use Green Plastic in its making, in addition to promoting businesses that contribute to actions in favor of recycling, post-consumption and the environment. The new packaging will replace, in the long run, the previous one which already had the EuReciclo certificate, which ensures the compensation of 100% of the packages produced by Future Farm through reverse logistics.
The range is now available in Carrefour across the UAE, as well as Choithrams and online retailers such as ShopKitopi and Organic & Real.
