Summer has officially arrived, and McDonald’s UAE is making sure that children across the country are able to enjoy their time off from school through an online camp packed with interactive experiences. With community at the heart of its operations, the family-favorite restaurant is rolling out hour long sessions, twice every week for little ones to tune into, completely free of cost.
Featured virtual activities will include arts and crafts, yoga for kids, gymnastics, trivia questions, dancing, stretching and short riddles. There will also be book reading sessions that bring back popular tales penned by Cressida Cowell from the Happy Meal Readers Program.
Enrollment will see children tuning in either on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesday and Thursdays, based on their day of registration, which allows the program to be flexible.
“Here at McDonald’s UAE, we are always looking out for new ways to engage with our local community. Through our Summer Camp, we want to be able to create memorable experiences that will both build new skills and keep the children entertained over the summer period”, said Walid Fakih, CEO at McDonald’s UAE.
In its commitment to being a positive addition to its local communities, McDonald’s UAE offers a hub for people to come together over a meal, engage with loved ones and keep its people first values alive. The Summer Camp follows previous initiatives such as the Happy Meal Readers Program which encouraged children to read with their families, as well as the Ramadan Books campaign in partnership with Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts, to support local artisans.
