Forget coffee and croissants, leave your full English behind – the newest morning trend right now is an Asian-inspired breakfast! Head to Dubai’s first authentic Asian food hall, Streetery, where you can look forward to a traditional South Asian feast of Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, and Singaporean street food.
Launching this weekend (Saturday 25th February), dishes showcase staple breakfast ingredients with an Asian twist, that can only be described as food for the soul. Highlight dishes include the comforting Thai Congee Dhs22 (rice porridge with chicken), Khai Chieo Dhs20 (Thai style omelette, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside served with steamed rice and a drizzle of Sriracha sauce), Roti Cani with Eggs Dhs18 (thin fluffy roti served with fragrant curry & poached eggs on the side), and Malay Kaya Toast Dhs15 (Malay style sweet coconut jam and salted butter spread in a toasted sandwich).
Those with a sweet tooth will be salivating over the Thai Banana Roti Dhs15 (banana in a roti, toasted and drizzled with condensed milk) and Apam Balik Dhs15 (a crispy and fluffy Asian pancake turnover filled with pandan jam). Hot breakfast drinks include Teh Tarik Dhs6 (Malay style spiced milk tea) and Oliang Dhs5 (Thai style iced coffee).
Located in JLT, the chilled out food hall with its neon lights, mismatched furniture, and open kitchens, will transport you back to your travels in Asia. Choose a spot on the relaxing terrace for a backdrop of shimmering lake views.
