RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION
As part of the roadmap set by dusitD2 Kenz Hotel on sustainability, the property is becoming more mindful of its consumption–from providing a stellar guest experience to employee involvement. In addition to the current waste management and recycling policies, dusitD2 Kenz employees will be undergoing up-to-date training on proper recycling and waste management that will be useful for them within the hotel and in their own personal ways.
Hygiene practices and sanitation is one of the critical priorities of this property, which means cleaning solutions are among its most important consideration when it comes to consumption. With its holistic approach to its high standard of cleanliness, this property has been sourcing out toxic-free cleaning solutions that use advanced technologies such as nano-natural and phytology. These eco-friendly products are not only imperative for a sustainable future, but it is also dependable, safe, and deliver the best hygiene results.
CLEAN ENERGY
Reducing carbon footprint has always been on top of the property’s list. As the world fast-tracking its Net Zero efforts, dusitD2 Kenz Hotel continues to monitor its energy consumption very often. In day-to-day operations from its front desk to the guest room management system, down to the kitchen, the team is mindful of reducing emissions as it also helps reduce utility costs.
Motion sensors are in key strategic areas such as staircases and hallways, with 95% of the light system using LED for more energy-efficient saving practices. The property also has 2 electric chargers that are open for access for both guests and non-guest.
SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCTION
dusitD2 Kenz Hotel recognizes food sustainability as one of its strategic value drivers. Among the roster of its suppliers are UAE brands and local producers. With the continued growth of the UAE’s agriculture, dusitD2 Kenz Hotel will pursue maximizing fresh produce within the local market to minimize its carbon footprint.

In 2020, one of the property’s homegrown restaurants, Ostro Restaurant & Cafe, launched the O’Vegan menu. An innovative vegan menu from soups, salads, a filling selection of pasta inspired for mains, and dairy-free and flavoursome desserts. The thoughtfully curated menu is the company’s response to growing customers pursuing this thoughtful lifestyle.

dusitD2 Kenz Hotel’s sustainability strategy is heavily considered by the government’s sustainable tourism initiative. The property is proactively working on reducing the use of plastic across its operational items and converting them to much more efficient and sustainable materials.
