Charles Clark has joined Ennismore as the new general manager at Hyde Hotel Dubai, replacing Luke James, who had been part of the property since its pre-opening phase in Business Bay.
In his new role, Clarke will be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s day-to-day operations and leading the team in delivering exceptional service and creating unique guest experiences, guided by the philosophy of ‘Anything Can Happen’.
Described as a highly motivated and dynamic hotelier by Ennismore, Clark brings over twenty years of experience in luxury hospitality and F&B operations to his new position.
His career in the hospitality industry began as a management trainee at Kensington Park Thistle Hotel after he earned his National Diploma in Hotel Catering Management from Scarborough College in New Yorkshire. In 1999, Clark transitioned from F&B to operations management, taking on the role of operations manager at the Hilton London Olympia.
Over the next decade, he held various leadership positions at Hilton hotels in the UK, culminating in his role as director of operations at London Hilton on Park Lane, before venturing into the Middle East.
In 2009, Clark became the hotel manager at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and was later promoted to general manager at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. He then moved back to Hilton as GM of Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City in 2018, and his most recent position was general manager at ME by Melia Dubai in The Opus by Zaha Hadid.
In terms of education, Clark received the Innholders Scholarship and completed the General Managers Program at Cornell University, USA, in June 2009. Additionally, in 2014, he finished the Executive Education Summer Program – Strategic Resilience at Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne in Switzerland.
