Inspired by family recipes handed down for generations, Ariana’s choice of complex, yet comforting flavours work alongside an interplay of textures, spices and tastes, all served with charming and generous hospitality. Dishes at Ariana’s Persian Kitchen are served in a family and homemade style. Persian classics will be given Ariana’s refreshing wholesome new twist in terms of textures, ingredients, and presentation. Guests can sample signature dishes such as Ariana’s Caspian-style filet kabab, rose-scented sea bass, a colourful array of new and novel mazzeh dishes, and her take on classic Persian ice cream with saffron, pistachios and rose water. An array of gluten free desserts and dishes as well as vegan and vegetarian options mean that every guest is made to feel as welcome and catered for as they would be in Ariana’s home itself. The ingredients used in the menu are all ‘clean’ and fresh, with as much sourced from Iran as possible and if not, from the surrounding region. There is also an extensive drinks menu serving freshly made Iranian cordials such as orange blossom, mint, chicory, rose and more as well as cocktails and mocktails which as all designed to emote the feeling of being in Ariana’s courtyard in Iran.
Signature Dishes
Ghormeh Sabzi
Popularly referred to as the national dish of Iran, Ghormeh Sabzi is an intensely Smokey five herb stew served with dried Shirazi limes. This flavour-packed dish has tender meat, fragrant sauce and is ladened with fresh herbs.
Fesenjoon
You know you are a special guest when your host serves you Fesenjoon as it takes longer than most dishes to prepare. This is especially true at Ariana’s and her interpretation of this Northern Iraqi classic stew is an absolute must-try for guests. This hearty medieval stew traditionally comes from the Caspian region of Iran. Chicken is cooked with walnuts and pomegranates resulting in a comforting stew served exactly as it would be had it come from maman’s kitchen.
Rosewater Hamour
Sea Bream is washed in Persian rosewater in the method traditional to the ancient city of Kashan. It is served crispy with lemon, Valencia orange paste and a splash more rosewater creating a delightfully floral and tangy fusion. (Remove pls Continuing the rose theme, the succulent fish is served with rose petals and parsley). Continuing on the rose theme it is served with a beautiful jewelled rice with Candided orange peel, carrots, barberries, pistachios and gold leaf.
Wild Orchid Ice Cream “Bastani Sonati”
This is a modern interpretation of the classic Iranian desert dating back to the 1920’s. Fragrant homemade ice-cream made with rosewater, saffron, and slivered pistachios sandwiched between rice wafers brings back childhood memories for many Persians. The secret ingredient powdered root of wild orchid giving a more stretchy texture than regular ice-cream.

Ariana’s Kashani Lemonade
This is the drink that Ariana serves guests in the courtyard at her home in Kashan, Iran. The perfect melange of fresh lemon juice, rosewater, agave nectar and water. A beautiful, slightly pink drink that is so refreshing it is almost impossible not to order another glass.
Dara’s Soda
Fresh orange juice, sparkling water and activated saffron is a drink Ariana created for her son Dara as a healthy alternative to sodas.
