Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi has introduced Broadway, its home-grown dining concept where contemporary gastronomy, blockbuster performances and 1920’s glamour unite. Directly adjacent to the hotel’s main Auditorium Theatre, the modern French brasserie serves British comfort food with an American influence, evoking the Art Deco period with a distinct, industrial feel.
Replete with exposed steel and brick, red leather booths, and chandeliers, Broadway is casual, yet elevated, and accommodates 270 guests. The cosmopolitan bar and restaurant provide a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, with vaulted interiors and a covered terrace to accommodate celebrations with friends, long leisurely lunches, or after-work get-togethers.
A menu has been thoughtfully curated for easy table sharing and communal dining. From escargot to tater tots, classic smashed burgers to beef wellington, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate peanut butter tarts, there are diverse options to suit every palate and accommodate speed of service.
Entering through a brewery gallery with rustic barrels on either side, Broadway’s cool atmosphere is perfect for socialising with friends and loved ones. At the heart of this social hub is the main bar, where skilled mixologists refine the art of cocktails and mocktails. The restaurant boasts an exhaustive selection of craft beers and eclectic wines by the glass, highlighting regional microbreweries. There is also a creative alcohol-free programme for more mindful consumption with the same great flavour.
Commenting on the opening, Tom Kooij, Director Food and Beverage of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi said: “Broadway is set to break the mould of hotel dining. This innovative concept is the perfect accompaniment to a night at the Auditorium Theatre – where heightened theatrics meet gastronomic delights, where classics are given a creative spin, and where guests are welcomed as family. Broadway is also a venue that anyone can come to for comfort food but served in an impeccable serving setting. ”
The interiors draw from multiple sources of inspiration including the famous theatre district in New York. Communal tables, intimate corner seats and exclusive areas have been designed to optimise comfort and intimacy, whilst the Cellar provides a privileged space for private functions. Woven into the experience is live entertainment that alludes to the 1920’s as well as a high-tempo DJ station.
Broadway marks the fourth food and beverage concept to open at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi since the start of 2023, with more exciting announcements to come later in the year. For further information and reservations, call +971 2 690 7999 or email moauh-restaurants@mohg.com.
