Originating from the brand’s proud identification as ‘The Black Sheep of the Market’, the name symbolizes its departure from the conventional coffee scene to offer something bold and innovative. At the core of Black Sheep Coffee’s uniqueness is its bold move to pioneer the world’s first 100% specialty-grade Robusta coffee in the retail market. Challenging the prevalent Arabica dominance, Robusta brings a distinctive walnut and dark chocolate taste profile, a double caffeine punch, robust body, higher protein, and lower acidity. This revolutionary flavour experience is set to redefine the coffee scene in the Middle East.
Founders Gabriel and Eirik, leading the charge, personally oversee the bean-sourcing process, visiting origins and purchasing directly from plantations. With a single-origin focus, all coffee varieties are sourced from various global locations, ensuring each bean is traceable back to the farm. This commitment to transparency and quality is evident in their hands-on approach, ensuring strict adherence to guidelines during picking, drying, and washing, delivering the perfect bean.
