One Michelin star restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, has unveiled a refreshed Sunday lunch menu, taking place every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm at Atlantis The Royal. Priced from AED 345 per adult and AED 195 per child, diners can now look forward to an enhanced Sunday roast experience with all the trimmings, served alongside beloved classics such as the iconic Meat Fruit (c.1500), inspired by the tastes and flavours of Britain dating as far back as the 14th century.
Collaborating with food historians and tapping into the world of the British Library, Sunday lunch at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal promises a unique blend of edible history and storytelling. Guests are invited to begin their lunch with a new selection of starters, such as the Smoked Salmon Tartare (c.1847) with cucumber, horseradish and dill, or the Roast Beetroot Salad (c.1830) with goat’s curd, candied walnuts and sorrel. Those seeking a much-loved classic can opt for the creatively disguised Meat Fruit (c.1500), which appears to be a Mandarin but is actually a chicken liver parfait.
For the main course families and friends alike can choose from a variety of all-time classics including, Black Angus Sirloin (c.1830), served with horseradish cream, rich beef gravy, and a British classic with a twist – a Yorkshire pudding with a decadent braised ox cheek filling;Roast Chicken (c.1672) stuffed with morel and brioche, bread sauce and chicken gravyas well as Roast Cauliflower with Truffle Sauce (c.1661), the ultimate vegetarian option. Among the latest additions, trimmings include honey-roasted carrots, Brussels sprouts, beef pancetta and chestnuts.
Sunday Roast Potato Time – Heston believes ‘roasties’ Roast Potatoes (c.1664) are the most important aspect of cooking a Sunday Roast. While the Yorkshires, vegetables and gravy can all be pre-prepared and the meat can be held at serving temperature, roasties wait for no one. Much like the triple cooked chips, when cooking roast potatoes, the aim is for a glassy crispy texture which are perfectly soft inside. As part of the roast experience, the meats are cooked using Heston’s long established techniques of low temperature cooking to produce the ultimate mouth-watering roast that will satisfy all taste buds.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal offers three irresistible additions to the dessert selection. Reimagined in true Heston style, guests can choose from the Trifle (c.2007) with raspberry, syllabub, saffron custard, and a delicate hint of orange blossom, Bakewell Tart (c.1845) with almond and cherry or the Chocolate Bar (c.1847), served with vanilla and caramel. Those looking for a definite treat can add on the ever-popular Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Trolly (c.1901) – a playful and indulgent finale to the meal. Plus, little ones of the family can look forward to special offerings such as Mini Roast and Jelly and Ice Cream (c.1901).
Served à la carte, diners can look forward to experiencing the Head Sommelier’s carefully curated wine menu. Named Gault & Millau UAE’s Sommelier of the Year 2025, Arturo Scamardella showcases over 1,600 references, each handpicked for the beautiful wine cellar located at the front of the restaurant. Every wine is chosen to allow guests to explore and discover offerings from around the globe. With an emphasis on small boutique producers, the wines of the older vintages sit side by side with the new. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a range of specially crafted cocktails from AED 75 and non-alcoholic options.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal is open every Sunday for lunch from 12pm – 3pm, priced from AED 345 for a two-course menu, AED 395 for a three-course menu for adults and AED 195 for kids (12 and under).
