The Oman Food Safety Conference will take place from 21 – 22 September alongside the Food and Hospitality Exhibition at Oman International Exhibition Centre, Muscat.
Organised by Omanexpo, the conference aims to elevate the country’s food safety culture and educate the foodservice industry on the importance of maintaining food safety standards.
The two-day conference will cover topics including: how to maximise food safety compliance for improved performance; food poisoning and food recalling systems; and enhanced technologies and solutions for ensuring food supply safety in Oman.
Food Safety Oman project manager, Ammar Ahmad commented: “With industry experts sharing their knowledge and expertise on food safety practices, attendees will have the best opportunity to understand what is changing and what needs to be changed in their food safety programmes to help curb food safety challenges.
“Participants will also learn about how food safety solutions could enhance the food business. The conference is set to provide an avenue for like-minded professionals to build strong collaboration with industry experts and food solution providers.
“The food safety conference programme is designed to address current issues, provide regulatory updates, interactive discussions with key industry players and stakeholders, and information on the latest food safety standards and more.”
The conference is open to professionals from across the food industry, including food manufacturers, producers, distributors and wholesalers, retailers, operators and regulators, catering and restaurant services, food sanitation and hygiene services.
