Vegetarian Indian brand Govinda’s has opened its second outlet in Dubai, 15 years after the flagship venue was first launched in Karama.
The new Jumeirah branch serves Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine.
It continues the brand’s original sattvic cooking method, meaning food is prepared without garlic or onion in order to keep the mind clear.
Mahesh Advani, founder and Owner of Govinda’s said: “Our menu is carefully crafted, there is something for everyone. We want to showcase a part of India through our traditional Indian delicacies, whilst keeping it oil free and high in health benefits.
“With our Chinese and Italian cuisine, it’s our vegetarian twist on pizzas and pastas and various Chinese dishes. At Govinda’s we want to encourage people to eat clean, healthy and wholesome food.”
Govinda’s features an oil free menu, and a thali menu, which includes options for vegan, high protein, low calorie and diabetic diets, with dishes all with fewer than 700 calories.
The brand’s fresh ice cream, Tru Frut is made from fresh, seasonal fruit and has no preservatives or colourants.
