Asian soul food concept The Noodle House has launched a limited-edition, Taiwan-inspired menu available until July 26.
The menu comes in continuation of the restaurant’s ‘Feed Your Asian Soul’ summer campaign. The Taiwanese menu has been carefully designed to give Dubai diners the opportunity to experience Taipei’s famed street-food dishes, including The Noodle House’s unique take on the world’s most expensive beef noodle dish.
Encompassing street favourites such as Taiwanese iced tea served with salted whipped cream and Osmanthus flower syrup, the menu also includes squid on a stick – a must-try dish inspired by the popular Shilin Night Market in Taipei, where a whole squid is battered and deep fried.
The menu also includes Niu Ba Ba-style beef noodles (AED 59), an Umami-packed dish inspired by Taipei’s very-own US $450 beef noodle soup. The Noodle House’s variation on the perennial favourite includes 14-hour slow-braised beef, fresh egg noodles and skinned tomato.
Other treats include Mount Kong Run Bing, an ice cream wrap filled with salted caramel, lemongrass-lime and lychee sorbet, coriander and peanuts, which is traditionally served at Jiufen Old Street, a historic area which is an hour’s journey from Taipei.
The ‘Feed Your Asian Soul’ summer campaign was inspired by a five-leg tour undertaken by The Noodle House Brand Chef, Stefan Borchardt, and Operations Manager, Steven Holloway, to South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore in search of inspiration.
“Taiwan is famed for its sumptuous night markets, hole-in-the-wall eateries and five-star luxury restaurants. In Taiwan, food is a national obsession,” says Chef Borchardt.
The special Taiwanese menu is available across The Noodle House’s Dubai outlets and through the restaurant’s home delivery.
