The first Legoland hotel in the Middle East is coming to Dubai and will be open by late 2019.
The 250 key property will be located at Dubai Parks and Resorts where there is already a Legoland Dubai with 40 rides and attractions. Legoland Water Park is also located there with 20 slides and attractions.
“The addition of a LEGO themed hotel at Dubai Parks and Resorts will bring the total hospitality offering at the destination to over 750 rooms.
DXB Entertainments’ chief executive officer Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi said: “With more than 100 rides and attractions spread across three theme parks, one water park and Six Flags Dubai opening in 2019, we expect families to spend several days at the destination to enjoy all the amazing experiences we offer.”
The LEGOLAND Dubai Hotel is a joint venture between DXB Entertainments PJSC and Merlin Entertainments, who will operate it once opened.
It will be built on approximately 300,000 square feet of land earmarked for LEGOLAND expansion as part of the Dubai Parks and Resorts destination.
Merlin Entertainments chief new openings officer John Jakobsen said: “Themed accommodation is an increasingly important part of the holiday and short-break visit, and we’re delighted to continue our partnership with DXB with the development of this hotel – the first of its kind in the Middle East region, which will allow families and children to continue their amazing LEGOLAND experience after the Park closes.”
