Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai has appointed Nicolas Chammaa as resident manager and Marco Frare as director of communications.
Chammaa, a Lebanese national, joins Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai from Makati Shangri-La, Manila where he held the position of resident manager.
With a background in food and beverage and senior hotel operations, Chammaa has worked with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts for over 10 years.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the hotel’s 492 hotel rooms, serviced apartments and private residences.
Frare, an Italian national, joins from Palazzo Versace, Dubai where he held the position of director of marketing and communications.
Prior to this, he held positions at InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Armani Hotel Milan and Burj Al Arab.
Frare will be responsible for all marketing and communications initiatives throughout the hotel, including the upcoming launch of renovated rooms, agency relationships and guest communications.
