In a city that reinvents itself nightly, few addresses carry as much history as the corner at the entrance of Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Once a pulse point for Dubai’s late-night crowd, the space has been quietly undergoing a transformation. This January, that iconic nightlife address transforms into Amaru – a new restaurant and bar where Latin America’s rhythm, flavour, and spirit come alive.
Rooted in the mythology of the legendary Serpent-Dragon – a timeless symbol of transformation, prosperity and connection – every detail is designed to transport guests. From clay and carved wood interiors echoing ancient temples to the pulse of live Latin vibes and DJ-led sets, Amaru immerses its guests in every sense.
Amaru unfolds across distinct yet connected spaces. At the heart, a central bar sets the rhythm, and acts as the meeting point through which energy flows and every evening begins. Here, guests enjoy vibrant piscos, smoky mezcals, and refined no/low creations – known as Amaru’s Sober Whispers – each drink crafted to reflect the theatricality and energy of the space.
Amaru’s menu traces a map of Latin America. From the citrus and spice of Peruvian ceviche to the coastal vibrancy of Brazilian moqueca, every dish is crafted with authenticity, elevated for today, and designed to be shared. For a more intimate experience, the Chef’s Table offers a curated tasting journey in Amaru’s private dining room.
Rising six metres above it all, the Galleria offers an elevated perspective of the space, complete with its own bar and vantage point that captures Amaru’s grandeur
Born in Dubai, Amaru is a homegrown brand that brings together global excellence and local imagination, introducing a new chapter in the city’s fine dining and nightlife scene. It is theatre and celebration woven together, leaving guests with memories that extend far beyond the table.
