Shangri-La Hotel Doha has appointed executive chef Jean-Luc Morcellet to oversee the hotel’s F&B outlets.
Chef Morcellet, originally from France, has over 20 years of international experience, having worked in hotels around the world, including The Dorchester and The Savoy in London where he led culinary teams.
Chef Morcellet said: “I am thrilled for this exciting new chapter in my career and I’m eager to utilise my past experiences in order to bring excellence to Doha’s elite dining scene.”
Before becoming a part of the Shangri-La family, Chef Morcellet was the executive chef of St. Regis Doha and spent 10 years in Dubai working with Grosvenor House, West Marina Beach and The Palace – Downtown, Dubai.

Shangri-La Hotel Doha is owned by Al Rayan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), the international hospitality subsidiary of Al Faisal Holding Company, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani.
