Pan Asian restaurant, Cho Gao Marina Walk, has opened at InterContinental Abu Dhabi.
Meaning ‘rice market’ in Vietnamese, Cho Gao offers signature dishes from Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand.
Ivor Prestwood, general manager of InterContinental Abu Dhabi, commented: “With this new opening, we want to invite diners to undertake an adventurous culinary experience starting with a tour through some of the most innovative foodie regions of the world. We are very pleased to be able to offer our guests another exceptional concept.”
Dishes include Thai roasted duck red curry with pineapple, grape and Thai basil; Chinese black pepper beef with bell peppers and spring onions; and Vietnamese banana blossom salad with chicken, shallots, toasted peanuts and chili.
With 270 indoor and outdoor seats, the venue is divided into four dining areas – the main restaurant, a sushi bar, a lounge and an outdoor terrace overlooking the marina.
The interiors feature hanging paper lanterns, a wall of art pieces and antiques sourced from Indonesia and bamboo lighting in the bar area.
Executive chef Christopher Curtis said: “Inspired by the rich culinary Asian culture, Cho Gao brings diverse flavours and tastes into each of the dishes on offer. The stylish restaurant offers guests the ultimate dining experience which spans a wide range of destinations, cuisines and flavours. My team and I are excited to present diners with dishes that elevates their taste buds.”
The restaurant is currently open for dinner from 6pm and will offer lunch from September from 12.30 – 3.30pm.
