Meraas is gearing up to open its fourth Last Exit food truck park featuring a post-apocalyptic theme with war rigs, monster trucks and abandoned cars.
Opening on 10 August, Last Exit Mad X is located on Sheikh Zayed Road between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It will play host to 11 food trucks offering cuisine ranging from burgers to bao buns, Thai and Indian street food and southern fried chicken.
Some of the brands on offer include Burger Pit, Pad Thai, 800 Degrees Pizza, Bao Bun and Sushi Box.
Most of the materials used to create the futuristic food truck park, have been sourced from recycled wood and scrap metal.
Other key features include oil drum tables, grass areas for picnics, camouflaged netting providing shade and flickering TV screens that point diners in the right direction.
There are also plans for a fully-functional indoor dining area with theatrical effects to add another dimension to the destination.
With 500,000 ft2 of space, Last Exit Mad X is more than three times the size of Last Exit E11, which opened last July.
Three Last Exit food truck parks each featuring its own theme and unique characteristics, are already in operation, with locations on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Qudra and Al Khawaneej.
A total of 10 parks are expected to be operating in the emirate by 2019.
