Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection has appointed John Farrelly as multi-property director of sales & marketing for St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City.
Farrelly’s most recent role was with Marriott International as market director of sales & marketing for the UAE and previously held the position of director of marketing at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.

Farrelly will be responsible for leading the strategic direction for sales and marketing across three brands, Dubai’s first-ever St. Regis, a flagship W Hotel and a Westin.
Collectively they total nearly 1,600 bedrooms, 18 restaurants and lounges, two spas, 34 meeting and banqueting spaces, including three state-of-the-art ballrooms.
He first joined Marriott UK in 1999 and held various on-property sales leadership positions before being promoted to cluster director of sales & marketing for nine hotels in Northern England in 2003.

In December 2011, John moved to Dubai to join the pre-opening team at the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai and played a crucial role in launching the flagship property in the Middle East & Africa.
In October 2015, he moved to take on the role of country director of sales & marketing for the UAE with oversight of 15 hotels including five pre-openings, as well as the management of the UAE Market Organisation which includes shared services provided to cluster properties for sales, marketing, PR and eCommerce.
