Yannis Homenidis has been appointed as the general manager of Meliá Dubai, taking over from Saurabh Tiwari.
His tenure with Meliá Hotels International started in 2011 in Athens.
This is not Homenidis’ first spell at Meliá Dubai – he was the general manager from 2013-14 before returning to Meliá Athens, Greece.
“Homenidis so far worked with world renowned hospitality groups such as the Hilton Resorts & Hotels, IHG group, The Leading Hotels of the World and Rotana,” said a spokesperson for Meliá Hotel International.
“He has astounding knowledge of the hospitality industry and global trends for more than 25 years.”
His new role will include initialising projects, programmes, strategies, budgets and action plans, being responsible for implementation and monitoring of these to reach the final objectives and goals and helping to implement company and area directives as well as all organisational changes.
