Barcelona-inspired tapas bar Toro & Ko will open in Dubai this month at City Walk’s licensed dining destination, The Square.
The concept, from award-winning chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette, has locations in Boston, New York and Bangkok.
Chef and co-owner, Jamie Bissonnette, said: “We are counting down the days until the opening of Toro & Ko Dubai. This is our first concept in the Middle East, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the passion behind the Toro name to a city that both of us feel so connected to”.
Toro & Ko Dubai will bring to the UAE the Spanish dishes the chefs are known for, with a focus on local ingredients from the surrounding markets.
The restaurant will also feature a Barcelona-inspired cocktail menu.
Partner chef and co-owner, Ken Oringer, added: “Dubai is a city we admire for its deep-rooted culture and culinary landscape. This is why it is even more special for us to be able to highlight the local flavours and ingredients of this city throughout the Toro & Ko Dubai menu.
“We are looking forward to learning from this amazing city, and are ready for what is sure to be an unforgettable adventure!”
