Marc-Oliver Schneider, CEO Küppersbusch speaks to Catering News at GulfHost 2017 about the company’s latest launch – an 800°c steak grill that cooks meat perfectly.
What are you promoting here today?
Küppersbusch has been producing commercial kitchen equipment in the heart of Germany for 140 years. We have mainly cooking products for professional kitchens and serve restaurants, hotels, but also larger kitchens for catering and airlines – Etihad is one of the biggest clients we have and they produce up to 100,000 meals a day. We’re happy to be here at GulfHost and we think this is one of the most important markets we have worldwide concerning developments and the need for high quality products. With high quality you have low maintenance, you’re assured that your cooking processes work properly, that maintenance and repair is easy to facilitate and that you have a process of cooking without any headache.
What’s your latest launch?
We work with consultants together so usually we provide the whole package concerning cooking appliances. We have one special product we are promoting, which is an 800°c steak grill. We’ve had very good feedback from potential clients who have said it’s a great product. We see a trend for high-end, high-quality meat and usually the guest would like to see how it’s prepared. BeefCraft, which is the name of the product, is just the right product to prepare meat but also fish and vegetables.
What are your plans for the next 12 – 18 months?
I think this region is very important. This is one of the most prosperous regions worldwide, which is why we want to be part of it. We have our own business development manager here, we have our own structure here, we are our own after-sales service here and this is very important because it’s not about selling products but offering products that really work.
