Rajaa Obeid has been appointed as the executive assistant manager of the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in Oman.
Obeid’s career has taken him around the Middle East, with significant experience working in the food and beverage departments at hotels in the Dubai.
He cut his teeth as a food and beverage manager across a number of outlets within Jumeirah Resorts & Hotels before moving on to be division manager food and beverage for Al Tayer Hospitality.
In 2016, he was appointed group operations director of Marka Holding, leading a team of over 900 colleagues operating in five countries in the Middle East, managing over 25 restaurants including Harper’s Bazaar Café, Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck and Reem Cafes.
n his role at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, Rajaa oversees the smooth running of the resort’s operations, working with department heads to ensure Anantara’s brand standards are being upheld.
With an excellent eye for detail and a proven background in business optimisation, Rajaa is responsible for monitoring service quality and guest satisfaction as well as driving revenue growth.
A Lebanese national, Rajaa has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management from Lebanese Business University as well as a number of hotel training and management qualifications.
