Hotel News Middle East is delighted to confirm our final line-up of speakers at the Executive Housekeepers Conference – which is taking place at the Conrad Hotel, Dubai, on Monday, 27 November.
The event – for which the agenda can be found here – kicks off with an expert session from Jessica Hardinge, executive housekeeper Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort. She will be discussing how do hotels deal with angry guests in an age when some professional complainers are even publishing books on how to get what you want from a hotel.
That is followed by a panel session on what are the challenges of being a housekeeper in the current climate? Does social media put added pressure on housekeepers to get it right immediately and is there scope for housekeepers to become more involved in the designing of hotels?
Making up our panel here are: Suman Basu, executive housekeeper, Movenpick JBR; Pamini Hemaprabha, executive housekeeper, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi and Yvonne Chimbganda, head of housekeeping, Media One Hotel.
Hot on the heels of that will be a presentation from our key sponsors Xeros before our second panel takes to the stage to discuss interaction with guests.
This panel is made up of Darshana Chandrasiri, Lapita Dubai Parks and Resorts; Mustafa Ghulam, executive housekeeper, One and Only Seef Bahrain Bay and Tejes Hajbe, rooms division manager, Flora Park Deluxe Hotel Apartments, Dubai.
We will then be hearing from another key sponsor – Guest Supply who will be holding a joint demonstration with Dubai Municipality – one that’s not to be missed.
Following the coffee break you will hear from Sanju Samuel, director of housekeeping, Habtoor Grand Resort; Deepti Ahergupte, director of services, JW Marriott Hotel Dubai and Hari Sudhakar, executive housekeeper, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, Fujairah.
They will be discussing the future of hospitality. Our final panel session of the day is asking how can housekeepers can develop their careers and move up or across the ladder?
Answering that question will be Lea Ruhimbaccus – executive housekeeper, Fairmont Dubai; Sheeja Sasidharan, executive housekeeper, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek and Laura Zanifrescu, executive housekeeper, Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Waterfront.
I think you will agree it’s a great line-up for what promises to be a fantastic event.
