Having a strong hold in other GCC countries, the snack producer is now looking to break into the UAE market.
Speaking on the side-lines of Gulfood 2018, Peter Traas, export manager, Roger & Roger said: “We recently introduced a few new flavours under our premium brand Rogers and see a very strong market for it in the UAE.
“We are launching new flavours regularly, the most recent being the chilli flavour under the Roger’s Handcooked chips brand.
“The response so far for the product has been very positive, the quality is fantastic and I’m very hopeful for the traction with this product. It works very well in the European market and we try to translate this into the Middle East too,” he added.
Speaking on their plans for the region Traas commented, “With the Roger brands, we are not working in the UAE yet. We are at Gulfood looking for a good importer or distributor who can put the brand under their umbrella and start promoting it together with us.
“We are doing very good sales in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait and are ready to launch it in the UAE. We are anxiously looking to expand our base and grow the brand,” he added.
