Millennium Hotels and Resorts have furthered their expansion into Saudi Arabia with the opening of Millennium Madinah Airport.
Designed to provide pilgrims and visitors a luxurious accommodation in the city, the 5-star property features 227 rooms and is located at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport.
The property is a 30 minute drive away from the centre of Al Madinah al-Munawwarah, the City of Prophet and second holiest city in Islam after Makkah. The Millennium Madinah Airport has also been designed for business, with four distinguished meeting spaces hosting up to 75 guests.
Divided into categories such as the Deluxe Room, Superior Room, Club Room and Executive Suite, the hotel features 227 rooms dressed in furnishings, warm colours and fitted with the latest amenities and technology.
The hotel’s dining options include The Lobby, an all-day dining restaurant offering oriental and international menus and Executive Lounge, designed for guests wanting to linger over lunch or dinner.
There’s also the Crew Lounge, an ideal pot to catch up with friends and Outdoor Terrace Café.
Commenting on the opening Murad Al-Sabbah, general manager, Millennium Madinah Airport, says: “It gives me great pleasure to open our doors and welcome our guests to Millennium Madinah Airport, where they can experience high-quality comfort and service inspired by true Arabian hospitality and world-class luxury. Our premium location, competitive rates and facilities will make Hajj and Umrah an unforgettable experience for visitors to the city.”
The opening of Millennium Madinah Airport is a welcome addition to the increasing hotel and resort inventories in Saudi Arabia where religious tourism remains a thriving demand. Following the announcement of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman’s economic and social reforms, including direct investment in tourism, Saudi Arabia has also seen a shift in leisure tourism with the country pursuing a target of 30 million visitors annually by 2030.
“We are confident that Millennium Madinah Airport will cater to all types of travellers especially now that new tourism attractions are being developed in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the number of pilgrims and Umrah visitors. With our 5-star hospitality standards, we ensure comfort and ease for our guests, whether they are here on vacation, performing their religious journeys, visiting relatives or travelling for business,” concluded Al-Sabbah.
