Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), a training and vocational institution established by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), has launched a series of short summer courses.
The courses range from a beginners’ ‘principles’ series with courses in retail, marketing, event management and travel agency operations, to intermediate courses in digital marketing, branding and experiential marketing hosted under the ‘masterclasses’ series.
Held at the purpose-built college facility at Dubai Tourism’s headquarters, located in One Central within the Dubai World Trade Centre area, the short courses will empower students of all levels to succeed in the city’s thriving tourism sector. With no prerequisites required, young Emirati and expatriate students can apply to the courses offered both throughout the week and on weekends.
“The new short courses were developed in collaboration with highly esteemed industry professionals to offer a cohesive and well-rounded syllabus, ensuring relevancy in today’s market to allow individuals to enter the industry equipped with the knowledge and skillsets required to advance in their future careers,” says Essa Bin Hadher, general manager of DCT.
DCT is a vocational education college, accredited by the Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA).
