The King of the Sea is showcased by Chef Dharshan Munidasa and his talented team from the esteemed Colombo eatery ranked one of Asia’s Best 50 Restaurants. The menu celebrates the succulent Sri Lankan crab in a variety of dishes prepared live and served poolside in a pop-up designed especially for the event. Sri Lankan crab is famed for its size, providing a creamy texture and plenty of meat.
Diners can choose from a taste-tingling 5-course menu that includes crab liver pâté to share, baked crab, which is similar in texture to risotto, and the Sri Lankan specialty, pepper crab. The menu also features garlic chili prawn, another fusion Sri Lankan dish that the restaurant is famed for. A dessert of coconut crème brûlée offers a tropical twist on the popular sweet treat.
Take a seat poolside in the cool November air to enjoy a wonderful night watching the Ministry of Crab in action. Savour the rich quality of the magnificent crab in this one-of-a-kind event.
Chef Dharsan says, “I am delighted to bring this pop-up to Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort and share the rich Sri Lankan seafood and ingredients we have on offer at Ministry of Crab with the diners of Dubai.” General Manager of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, James Hewitson, adds “Many of our guests are familiar with Ministry of Crab and it’s an honour to host Chef Dharshan and his team for what’s sure to be an unforgettable gourmet event in Dubai.”
