Joe and The Juice, the popular Danish concept brand known around the globe, is honouring the holy month of Ramadan through a creative collaboration with renowned Emirati artist Aysha Al Hamrani in addition to the launch of limited edition menu items.
After launching in the UAE in September 2022, the brand already has 6 stores in operation across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with that number set to increase in the coming months. Joe & The Juice’s partnership with the homegrown illustrator, widely known as Mnawrah, marks a significant six-month milestone of business in the UAE with the customised cups paying homage to Al Hamrani’s memories and perceptions of Ramadan. The illustrations feature everything from the symbolic cannon and lanterns to crescent moons and coffee, all created in Mnawrah’s signature whimsical style.
Speaking on her decision to partner with the global brand, Aysha Al Hamrani said: “I chose to title this project the Spirit of Ramadan -Joe and The Juice have built an undeniably strong presence in our society in a short period of time, it was always my aim to maintain the brand’s youthfulness of the brand, whilst encapsulating just that, the Spirit of Ramadan. I think these illustrations really resonate with a lot of people who not only live in the UAE, but other GCC countries and across the globe.”
Elsewhere, Joe & The Juice is also launching The Halloumi Sandwich, exclusive to the GCC, and inspired by Middle Eastern flavours, comprising of olive paste, zaatar, halloumi, tomato, in addition to the Green Haven juice. A worldwide favourite – the Green Haven contains a blend of spinach, pineapple, and apple. Both menu items are limited-edition only for the duration of Ramadan, providing diners with flavourful items to break their fast with.
The brand is also launching Joe’s Ramadan cards, an ideal treat for any joe-goer. The card enables customers to avail any 6 items for the price of 4, ranging from Joe’s signature shakes to its social media sensational sandwiches. To redeem, visitors must purchase through the app wallet and it’s only available for pick up or an over-the-counter order.
