Cipriani is set to make its anticipated Dubai debut in the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in the first quarter of 2016. Following outposts across the globe including New York, Monte Carlo and Abu Dhabi, Cipriani Dubai is the brand’s second locale in the Middle East.
It all started in 1931 when Giuseppe Cipriani opened a quaint spot off a canal in Venice, Italy and called it Harry’s Bar. One family, four generations and over 80 years of history – Cipriani Dubai is like going back to a time when true service and devotion were everything and simple luxury an unspoken quality.
The grandeur of the space comprising two levels, designed by respected Florentine architect Michele Bonan, features a chic blue and white nautical aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling linen curtains, striped marble Venetian flooring and Murano chandelier. Covering 1100 sq.ft., the venue houses 296 guests.
Its high gloss wooden railings, signature Cipriani brown leather chairs and polished steel finishes – reminiscent of a Venetian luxury yacht – the outcome of Tedeschi, an Italian company in furniture and millwork for over 50 years– working overtime to create something that evokes comfort yet timeless elegance.
The bar will be an intimate space located on the lower level, with white lacquer and chrome finished upholstered sofas and armchairs adorning the room to complement the relaxed ambiance. Guests can also opt to dine on the enclosed terrace surrounded by beautiful lush greenery, wooden chairs with blue pillows and rattan cane backs.
The kitchen fit out company used was the Italian firm Tedeschi, which has designed several Cipriani outlets to date, including Ibiza, Monte Carlo, New York and Miami.
The menu includes Cipriani classics such as Carpaccio alla Cipriani, Baked Tagliolini, and the sinfully delicious Vanilla Meringue. And for a true taste of Venice, the bar will of course be serving the signature Bellini, which was invented at the original and legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice.
“I am extremely excited about this new project. I’m looking forward to bringing our tradition of service, warm atmosphere and classic Cipriani cuisine to this eclectic, vibrant and culturally diverse city,” explains hospitality tycoon Giuseppe Cipriani.
