DuangDy, the new haven of essentially Thai cuisine and sustainable gastronomy in The Link, at One Za’abeel, has been honoured with the MICHELIN Special Service Award in the 2024 Dubai Guide. The restaurant, a concept by husband and wife duo Dylan Jones and Bo Songivasa, also cemented a place on the 2024 selection, only four months after its debut in February, 2024.
General Manager Apichaya Khomson, along with Team Leader Veerawich (Champion) Chanthawatthamkul, were recognised for their ability to lead a team of talented hospitality individuals, committed to delivering unparalleled customer service to all guests. Apichaya, better known as Peach, previously held roles at Media One Hotel, Marriot Bangkok and Miss Tess Dubai. Her warmth and natural charisma evoke the essence of Thai hospitality, filtering down to all staff to ensure guests feel sincere and welcome when dining at the restaurant.
“It is an honour for us to win this prestigious award and secure a place on the Michelin Guide. This award would not have been possible without the support of each member of the extremely talented team at DuangDy and the support from our brand partners, Dylan Jones and Bo Songivasava.”
DuangDy by BO.LAN also secured a spot on the Michelin Guide 2024, becoming one of only 69 restaurants in the city to feature on the list.
The announcement occurred at a prestigious event hosted at One&Only One Za’abeel, recognising DuangDy’s exceptional and unique culinary experience steeped in tradition, harmoniously blending heritage, culinary expertise, and a dedicated focus on minimal environmental impact.
Located within the world’s longest cantilevered building, The Link, DuangDy is the brainchild of esteemed chefs Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones, renowned for their acclaimed restaurant Bo.lan in Bangkok. DunagDy serves as a sanctuary for discerning gastronomes, with a menu that celebrates centuries-old recipes interpreted through an eco-conscious lens. We deeply appreciate the recognition and will continue our mission to push our art’s boundaries while maintaining our culture’s authenticity. We are particularly proud of Apichaya Khomson’s recognition for outstanding service, which highlights our commitment to excellence in every aspect of the dining experience.”
