Dubai is gearing up for a sensational weekend of celebrations to mark 53 astounding years of the UAE’s union during this year’s Eid Al Etihad from 28 November to 3 December. Families and friends should mark their calendars for an action-packed lineup of unmissable events, ranging from dazzling fireworks and awe-inspiring cultural experiences to memorable dining and so much more – all specially curated by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) to bring endless wonder and joy for residents and visitors alike.
Dubai’s skies will come alive with dazzling fireworks displays every single day of the Eid Al Etihad weekend, promising unforgettable moments for all ages. On 1 December, Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR will light up at 8pm. On 2 December, Hatta skies will sparkle at 8pm, followed by Dubai Festival City Mall at 9:10pm. The mesmerising burst of colour and excitement will conclude on 3 December at Al Seef at 9pm.
The colourful community celebrations will continue with Eid Al Etihad 53 at City Walk, bringing a thrilling celebration to the city on 2 December from 4pm to 6pm. Over 200 performers will join the festivities, including impressive flag bearers, fabric dancers, acrobats, traditional bands, and interactive acts. The celebrations will conclude with a special performance by Emirati singer, songwriter, and producer Mohamed Al Shehhi from 8pm to 9pm, supported by a breathtaking 10-member live band.
There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained with a packed programme of live entertainment and spectacular events. A not-to-be-missed highlight is Jalsat Moments, which will bring a spectacular line-up of some of the best loved Arabic singers in a spectacular musical special happening at Coca-Cola Arena on 28 November. The stage will light up with performances by Ayed Yousef, Eida Al Menhali, Nabeel Shuail, and Abdulaziz Al-Duwaihi, promising to leave audiences spellbound with a unique artistic experience.
Shoppers can make the most of deals and sales from 29 November to 2 December on perfumes, jewellery, fashion, footwear, homeware, and apparel from renowned brands. A packed programme of exciting promotions, traditional bands, and thrilling family activations also awaits shoppers at leading malls including City Centre Mirdif and Ibn Battuta Mall. A key highlight to look forward to at Dubai Festival City Mall is a live concert by Aryam and Faisal Al Jasim on 2 December, in addition to roaming entertainment, festive decorations, and spectacular fireworks.
Foodies are in for a treat this weekend as well, with Emirati Eats bringing an exciting mix of culinary experiences to leading restaurants across Dubai from 28 November until 3 December. The city’s finest eateries and cafes will serve up exclusive tasting menus, limited-time promotions, and special events that blend traditional Emirati flavours with global influences, paying tribute to the nation’s rich heritage and dynamic culinary diversity.
