Anantara Hotels is set to open two new luxury resorts in the Sultanate of Oman by mid-2016 – Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in the north east of Oman and Al Baleed Resort – Salalah by Anantara in the southern province of Dhofar.
Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar will be located in the Saiq Plateau on Oman’s Green Mountain, 2,000 metres above sea level, making it the highest 5-star resort in the Middle East and one of the highest in the world. The new property will feature 82 premier and deluxe rooms, each with a private balcony or terrace.
Al Baleed Resort – Salalah by Anantara will be located 10 km from the city centre and 15 km from the airport. The resort will also feature 40 premier and deluxe rooms, with views of the Arabian Sea, lagoon or gardens as well as 88 one, two and three bedroom villas which will offer private pools.
Other facilities will include temperature-controlled infinity swimming pools, equipped gyms and tennis courts. Both resorts will boast an Anantara Spa, with ancient hammam rituals as well as treatment rooms. In addition, the resorts will each feature meeting and banqueting facilities to host weddings, events, conferences and team building activities.
