With over a decade of experience in some of Dubai’s most prestigious dining destinations, Djordje is a true connoisseur of fine wines. His professional journey has seen him craft acclaimed wine programs, lead pre-opening teams, and design sophisticated food and wine pairings that enrich the guest journey with every sip.
Originally from Serbia, Djordje discovered his passion for hospitality early on, completing his studies in Restaurant Management at the High School for Restaurant Management in Novi Sad. However, it was in Dubai where his fascination with wines truly flourished—exploring the diverse labels, rich traditions, and global narratives behind each bottle. This inspired a career dedicated to not only mastering wine, but sharing its story.
Djordje began his sommelier career at La Cantine du Faubourg, before taking on increasingly influential roles at Indochine DXB, Fouquet’s by Groupe Barrière, and Salvaje & Arrogante Dubai. At each venue, he led the creation of extensive, thoughtfully curated wine programs and introduced immersive wine experiences that resonated with both seasoned aficionados and curious newcomers.
At Amelia Dubai, Djordje now helms an expansive selection of over 300+ labels, where his curatorial philosophy blends old-world charm with modern innovation. His meticulous pairings are designed to complement Amelia’s bold culinary concept, a harmonious fusion of Japanese, Peruvian, and Mediterranean cuisines.
