Madame Li at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab introduces a special Lunar New Year four-hands dining experience available on 20 & 21 of February. Set within The Fore, the resort’s signature dining destination, Madame Li presents a bold yet refined Pan-Asian dining experience defined by confident flavours, generosity, and contemporary expression.
The limited-time collaboration brings together Michelin-starred Chef Andrew Yeo with Executive Chef Mehmet İpar for a celebratory menu inspired by Cantonese tradition and Lunar New Year symbolism. Created to mark the season of prosperity, abundance, and new beginnings, the Lunar New Year menu brings refined Cantonese techniques into conversation with Madame Li’s modern Pan-Asian identity. The menu unfolds through a sequence of celebratory dishes that move from refined starters to generous mains, before closing with a Lunar-inspired dessert.
The experience opens with Yu Shen celebration salad featuring house-cured salmon, carrot, radish, and spiced cracker – symbolic of prosperity and abundance – alongside a chef’s selection of handcrafted dumplings with fillings such as Chilean seabass, morel mushroom, and char siu chicken. A Peking duck duo follows, pairing roasted duck with Oscietra caviar and a black pepper duck puff, offering both tradition and indulgence.
The menu continues with generous mains, from glazed grouper fish served with charred young corn and laksa sauce, to wok-fried Wagyu rib-eye accompanied by fragrant jasmine rice, pearl onion, and confit garlic. Seasonal vegetables feature prominently, with a Four Seasons Chinese cabbage dish bringing together beancurd, asparagus, king oyster mushroom, and Szechuan sauce. To conclude, Lunar Orange Bliss offers a fitting finale, combining mascarpone creamux with orange-mandarin marmalade, symbolising sweetness and good fortune for the year ahead. Each dish is also available à la carte.
Chef Andrew Yeo’s culinary approach is shaped by his Singaporean heritage and early memories of his grandmother’s kitchen, later refined through years in Michelin-starred and luxury kitchens including Hakkasan. This perspective meets Chef Mehmet İpar’s globally informed Cantonese expertise and deep appreciation for the soulful flavours of China and Southeast Asia, resulting in a collaboration that feels considered, generous, and celebratory.
