Jumeirah Restaurant Group has appointed Rosalind Parsk as new head chef of The Ivy Dubai.
Chef Parsk was previously head chef of Jumeirah Restaurant Group’s award-winning Pierchic at Madinat Jumeirah.
Commenting her new role, chef Parsk said: “I am delighted to be taking on the mantle of head chef at The Ivy Dubai, an iconic multi award- winning fine dining institution, with such a special heritage.’
“In the five years it’s been operating here in Dubai the restaurant has built upon an enviable reputation for its timeless, international brasserie-style menu, and I look forward to building upon this success with unique taste combinations, a focus on local ingredients, seasonality and regional inspiration – whilst still remaining true to the brand’s British roots.”
Originally from the UK, chef Parsk trained at Marco Pierre White’s The Belvedere in London’s Holland Park as well as under Gordon Ramsey at the Michelin-starred Menu and The Grillroom in The Connaught Hotel, London.
In 2007 Parsk relocated to Dubai as part of the opening team for Rhodes Mezzanine by Gary Rhodes as chef de partie then moved to the Capital Club in DIFC as sous chef.
In 2011 she was appointed sous chef at Cavalli Club, restaurant & lounge before joining Jumeirah Restaurant Group’s Pierchic in 2012 as chef de cuisine.
During her time at Pierchic, Rosalind went on to become head chef overseeing a team of 28.
In her new role, chef Parsk will be responsible for overseeing the team as well as being responsible for all day-to-day operations in the kitchen, seasonal menu changes, creating and revitalising dishes.
