Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers has appointed executive chef Ala’a Mustafa and director of F&B, Bassel El Kontar, marking a new chapter in the property’s F&B offer.
Jordanian national, chef Mustafa moved to the new role from Sofitel The Palm, Dubai, where he worked as junior executive sous chef.
Mustafa specialises in Arabic cuisine, however his experience in banquets has allowed him to develop a broad range of culinary skills with seafood, steak and Italian.
Fadeel Wehbe, general manager of Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers commented: “The appointment of both Ala’a and Bassel puts us in good position to revise, and consistently review our food and beverage offering here at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
“Their experience of the UAE market puts them in strong position to introduce new opportunities for the hotel.”
Commenting on his new appointment, Mustafa said: “This new role at Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers will allow me to expand my creativity, and showcase my culinary abilities. The restaurants here offer a broad range of cuisine, and I look forward to the challenge that it brings.”
With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Lebanese-national, Bassel El Kontar joins Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers from Rotana Hotels.
He also has experience with Starwood Hotels & Resorts InterContinental Hotels Group and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
