Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers is participating in a special Ramadan initiative aimed at helping the less fortunate in light of the Holy month.
The initiative – ‘A Kilo of Kindness’ encourages guests and the public to donate a kilo or more of non-perishable food items.
Launched by Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, the campaign pairs generosity from the public with needs of the less fortunate.
The food-raising drive invites people to donate non-perishable food items by simply dropping supplies off at the hotel lobby during Ramadan until 30 June 2016. Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers is supporting Beit Al Kheir, the charity that will benefit from the donations.
Requested donation items include:
- Canned food: tuna, soup, fruit, vegetables
- Dry food: rice, beans, oats, pasta, cereals, flour, powder milk, tea
- Non-glass packaged food: olive oil, canola oil, honey
- Baby food: milk formula, infant cereal
- Clothing
- School supplies
The Beit Al Kheir Society supports elderly, widowers, divorced women, families of prison inmates, people of special needs, orphans, students as well as other people undergoing hardship.
Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers is one of more than 15 Mövenpick hotels in the Middle East and Africa are participating in this initiative. ‘A Kilo of Kindness’ forms part of Shine, Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts global corporate social responsibility programme.
