Minor Hotels (MH), a hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a portfolio of 530 hotels and resorts in 56 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Indian Ocean, has announced the appointment of David Todd as Vice President of Operations, Middle East, as of 3 April 2023. With over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, David brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new role.
David joins Minor Hotels from InterContinental Hotels Group, where he held a number of senior positions, including most recently Head of Operations for the Middle East and Africa, where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of 52 properties across 11 countries. Following many hotel operational positions which took him from his native Scotland, to countries including Egypt, Oman and Qatar, previous strategic roles included: Head of Hotel Lifecycle and Growth, managing the owner relationship from signing to opening, and Head of Franchising, which have equipped him with critical skill sets required for Minor Hotels’ future growth plans across the Middle East.
In his new role, Todd will be responsible for overseeing the operations and development of Minor Hotels’ portfolio of hotels in the Middle East, including the Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, Oaks and Tivoli brands. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing the group’s growth strategy in the region.
